Veronia Cruz: Veronica is currently getting her Masters degree, while working and raising a family. Veronia says, "How has lupus affected my life? The simple answer: It has made me stronger, more humble, and more appreciative of the simple things in life. It also has taught me what pain is, and what struggle really feels like. It has made me love a lot stronger, and laugh a bit longer."
Michelle Spurling: Michelle is working towards her health care degree and says she now sees "how important compassion is when caring for others. I am more sensitive to others' pain, fear, worries, anger and depression."
